A Psychodynamic Approach

Much of my work is with individuals, couples, and adolescents who are confronting depression, anxiety, and significant life changes.

I have been an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist since 2017. This evidence-based method provides a framework for individuals and couples alike  to clarify what may otherwise seem to be murky waters.

I draw from family systems, human development, and attachment theory to draw out my client’s instinctive wisdom. My approach is psychodynamic, and I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS), Hakomi, Authentic Movement, Sensory Awareness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Nonviolent Communication, and Focusing.

My undergraduate studies in writing and literature at the University of Vermont cultivated my fascination with the ways people think and behave. A degree in psychology was clearly the next step.

My graduate work at the California Institute of Integral Studies centered on somatic psychology. Somatic attunement adds deep awareness of our full human experience to the mix of tools for generating self compassion and understanding of others.
